Our first Blog Post!

Hello to all Park Farm Fans! We have decided to start a blog to keep our fellow Park Farmers up to date with the latest happenings here as there is always something new and exciting going on and we don’t seem to have enough space on the website for it all anymore!

Park Farm is a third generation farm, that was purchased in the 1930's from Oakley Estate by Julian's Grandfather. Over the years, the farm has been home to pigs, poultry and cows, as well as used as an arable farm. Around 30 years ago, the farm began to take on a small number of horses as liveries.

Sally married Julian in the early 90's and opened the shop on site. It has slowly grown from a tiny tack shop to what it is today - a large country store!

During this time, the livery yard was expanded when chicken barns were converted in to stables and then in 1993 the Riding School was formed...

The school started with Poise, the first ever pony on the farm! She is a little bay Dartmoor pony and is still here today! She is the perfect beginners pony and has taught hundreds of children how to ride.

The Riding School gradually grew and now we are a fully fledged, BHS approved riding centre and competition yard. We also have a string of polo ponies that belong to Tom and Toby, Sally and Julian’s sons.

We hope that you will enjoy our blog, we would like it will become a fun way to keep you up to date with everything that is going on in and around Park Farm. Feel free to make comments and add photos of your adventures with us too.
